About The Course
Agile project management is about much more than stand-ups, sprints, and task boards. Done well, it gives teams a practical framework for responding to change, delivering value continuously, and improving the way they work. This comprehensive course takes you from the fundamentals of Agile through advanced project management and team leadership.
You'll begin with the Agile mindset, learning the Agile Manifesto, its core values and principles, and how Agile differs from traditional approaches to project management. You'll become familiar with Scrum roles, product backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization, and the essential building blocks behind successful Agile projects.
Rather than learning these concepts only in theory, you'll choose a realistic project brief and use it throughout the course. You'll set up a practical project workspace with Trello and Notion, build your backlog, estimate and prioritize work, define sprint goals, and plan and run a complete sprint from start to finish.
You'll learn how to conduct effective stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, manage changing requirements, and use feedback to continuously improve your project. As your skills progress, you'll move beyond individual sprints and learn how to plan across multiple iterations using release plans, story points, velocity, and delivery forecasting.
The course also helps you understand when different Agile approaches make sense. You'll compare Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid workflows, giving you the knowledge to adapt your project management approach to the needs of the team rather than applying one framework to every situation. You'll then strengthen your stakeholder management and decision-making skills by working with burndown and burnup charts, cumulative flow diagrams, lead time, and outcome metrics. You'll learn how to communicate progress clearly, identify bottlenecks, and use data to understand how a project is actually performing.
At the advanced level, the focus shifts from managing work to leading Agile teams. You'll develop practical skills in servant leadership, coaching, facilitation, difficult conversations, and advanced retrospectives. You'll also examine how Agile changes when multiple teams need to work together, comparing scaling approaches including SAFe, LeSS, and Scrum@Scale and learning how to coordinate work without introducing unnecessary complexity.
Finally, you'll tackle some of the challenges experienced Agile teams face, including technical debt, quality, uncertainty, risk management, and sustainable productivity. You'll learn how Kaizen, team-health measurement, and deliberate learning can help create a culture where continuous improvement becomes part of everyday work.
Throughout the course, practical exercises will have you creating backlogs, planning sprints and releases, writing stakeholder communications, analyzing project metrics, designing retrospectives, and assessing risks. For your final capstone, you'll bring your advanced skills together by creating your own Agile Coaching Playbook.
Learn Agile by applying it to real projects and develop the skills to plan, adapt, communicate, and lead with confidence.
